Here is a little gem.

Matt Siber shows that a little bit of creative thinking and a skill in zapping out buildings in Photoshop can come together to create some surreal imagery which leaves the viewer wondering exactly how much we take all the stuff that surrounds us for granted.

Stop motion with wolf and pig.

Jim Antonopoulos | 10.05.2009

Aren’t the most amazing things amazingly simple?

From the horse’s mouth:

“At first I photographed stop motion animation. And I displayed the photographs in my room and photographed it again. I used 1,300 printed pictures. Enjoy a connection with the world of the room and the world in the photograph.”

The New York placebrand through storytelling

Jim Antonopoulos | 8.03.2009

I believe that every great brand has a true, meaningful story at the heart of it.

I also believe that every great brand uses the art of story-telling to communicate and prove it’s essence.

Here is a great example of a collection of photo-essays, audio and written word, that capture the essence of being a New Yorker. Isn’t that, after-all, what the New York Times is all about? New Yorkers.

Isn’t the New York Times just another New Yorker telling a story?

This shows me the power and the craft of story-telling used to create a very human face to a media brand which aims to become (and probably is) a part of the New York cultural fabric.
